What do solicitors do?
Solicitors are the most common type of lawyer you are likely to come into contact with. In the US they are known as ‘attorneys’, and they do the majority of the case-work – the paperwork, gathering of legal information, liaising between the defendant and claimant, progressing the case.
Solicitors can specialise in one area of law or they can practise in a range of topics. They can work for large or small firms, and undertake legal aid work or not. They can also utilise different payment methods, such as regular hourly paid work or conditional fee arrangements. These pages also contain how they themselves are regulated.
We have award-winning lawyers throughout the UK, ready to assist with your case. Fill in the form and we'll be in touch.
