Alternative dispute resolution

Many people believe that once a dispute cannot be resolved through one-to-one discussion the only answer is litigation. You can employ professionals to attempt to end the dispute, but instead of using litigation to do so it is often possible to resolve the dispute using ADR.

ADR (Alternative dispute resolution) includes several different methods which are broadly similar but which have slightly different systems and outcomes. The two most common are:

  • Arbitration
  • Mediation

There are different occasions which suit each method, and it is important to understand what each one entails.

We have broken down the subcategories on the right hand side into arbitration, mediation and general information. If you require more information directly relating to your case let us put you in contact with the right professional.
