Understanding your legal issue
There aren't too many instances in life when we need to know the law, or to speak to a solicitor. But when those moments happen - whether it be when buying a house, starting a business or making a will - it is imperative that we are as well-informed as possible.
We have created thousands of pages of legal information on this site to help our users know more about the law and their situation. But we've also made it easy to find out as much, or as little, as you like.
How to browse our legal information pages
Start off by choosing one of the 14 areas of law below. This will take you to a page which gives you some broad information on the topic. On the right hand side of that page will be links to information pages on certain aspects of that area of law. Some areas of law are so detailed that we've had to create several layers of information.
You will also find FAQ pages on these areas of law, and sometimes there will be casehandler articles. Casehandlers are the people at Contact Law who speak to clients, like you, on a daily basis, and they have an awful lot of knowledge to impart. They can often give invaluable advice based on personal experience, and in many cases we've convinced them to write about specific situations.

So choose the area of law you're interested in, and find the information you're looking for. If you need to speak to someone here about your case or about getting in touch with a solicitor, you can call us at any point using the number at the top of the screen or you can use our web-form on the right hand side of this page.
