What is the Contact Law service?

Contact Law finds the most appropriate solicitor for consumers and small businesses at no charge. We are an independent organisation that considers all appropriate law firms to find a solicitor with expertise in your desired area and near to where you live. We get personally involved with each customer enquiry to make sure you get the right solicitor, saving you a significant amount of time and effort searching for the right legal representative.

Is there a charge for using Contact Law's service?

There is no charge for using this service to the user of this service. Contact Law charges the law firm a referral fee for each client it introduces. This referral fee will not be added to the cost of your solicitor and your solicitor should make this clear.

When can I expect a response?

In most cases, we will contact you with our recommended solicitors within 24 hours. Once you have agreed to an introduction to the solicitors we will aim to introduce you within a further 24 hours. Many users of the Contact Law service have been talking to prospective solicitors within 24 hours of their website submission.

Is there any obligation to use a solicitor who contacts me?

There is no obligation whatsoever to use a solicitor that we put you in contact with.

How much will the solicitor who contacts me charge?

There is no obligation on your part to hire the solicitor(s) we introduce to you. However, if you decide to hire the solicitor, the amount of fees that solicitor charges will vary depending on the case. In some cases a solicitor will work on a contingency basis, meaning you will not pay anything unless you win your case. Other solicitors may charge on an hourly or fee basis. You and the solicitor should discuss the fee structure in your initial meeting.

Can Contact Law give me advice about my case?

No, Contact Law guarantees its independence to you by not acting as a law firm. We cannot give you legal advice about your situation.
