If you have reported a noise nuisance then an environmental health officer will assess whether the level of noise you are experiencing is unreasonable, for example if it is affecting your sleep. If you are unhappy that your local council has not taken the appropriate action on your behalf then you can apply for an action in the magistrates’ court.
